Sort posts in the discussion interaction by timestamp, order, or user name
When participating in the discussion, users can now sort posts by timestamp or by post order, according to their preference, to adjust their view. If needed to locate posts from a specific user, a filter can be applied to only show comments from the selected user. Updated learning path/playlist monitor page
The updated monitor page for the interactivity playlist/learning path provides the filter and search tool to allow instructors to monitor learning progress for a selected group of students in the class. They can also use the data export function on the monitor page to export learners’ progress to a CSV file. Connect Panopto with your WeVideo account
Users can now connect their Panopto and WeVideo accounts to import Panopto videos into WeVideo and use them in their projects. Once connected, a Panopto option will appear in the media picker, allowing users to select which videos to import into WeVideo. Enable two-factor authentication to protect your account
WeVideo now supports users in setting up two-factor authentication for their accounts for an additional layer of protection. After configuring two-factor authentication for the account, users will be prompted to enter the code generated by the authentication app each time they log in to WeVideo. WeVideo now supports users to access with Safari
Users can now access WeVideo in Safari on Mac devices to use both the Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces. Users can create media projects, interactive videos, and playlists; access classes; complete assignments; and perform other actions in WeVideo with Safari. Connect Zoom with WeVideo
Users can connect their Zoom accounts to WeVideo accounts to edit their cloud recordings or use them to create interactive videos. Enable AI text-to-speech according to users’ roles
License owners and administrators can now adjust who can access the text-to-speech AI tool by role, changing role permissions in the Admin dashboard. Please see this article for more information on adjusting role permissions for users in the license.
Upload or generate audio descriptions for videos and interactive videos
Users can upload pre-recorded audio files in MP3 or WAV format as audio descriptions for video exports and interactive videos. Alternatively, users can upload transcripts in VTT or SRT format to video exports or interactive videos and generate audio descriptions using WeVideo’s AI text-to-speech generator. When accessing the content, viewers and learners can use the audio descriptions toggle in the player to enable or disable them. Auto-generated captions for WeVideo projects
When exporting projects in WeVideo, users can now select to auto-generate captions with the AI captions generator or upload their captions file with the export. Set due dates for the interactive assignments in the LMS
Instructors can now add due dates to interactive videos and playlists assigned to the LMS courses during the assigning process. The interactive content will be locked for learners after the set due dates to prevent access, and the instructor can always update the due date if needed. Generate interactions with the Interactivity AI interaction generator for interactive videos built with Canvas Studio or Kaltura
WeVideo Interactivity can now generate interactions using an AI interaction generator for interactive videos built with Canvas Studio or Kaltura. Please note that the videos hosted on these platforms must have captions for the AI interaction generator to generate interactions.
Global settings in the Admin Plus panel
The Admin Plus license owner can now adjust settings for all buildings in the license from the global settings in Admin Plus. The adjusted settings will be applied to all buildings in the license. Please see this article for more information about Admin Plus in WeVideo.
Preview interactive videos when creating them
When building interactive videos in WeVideo Multimedia Creation, users can now use the Preview button at the top to launch the interactive video player and preview the interactive video they are working on.

Video commenting in ClassFeed
Learners can now record videos in ClassFeed as comments on their peers’ submissions. This new feature enables instructors to create a video-based discussion by enabling ClassFeed for Multimedia Creation assignments. Please see this article for more information about video comments in ClassFeed.
Adjust the interactive assignment’s settings after assigning it to learners
Instructors can now adjust the interactive assignment’s start and due dates, as well as assignment preferences, after assigning it to classes in WeVideo, without having to unassign the assignment first. Please see this article for more information about editing interactive assignments.
Access both WeVideo Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces with one LMS integration
With the newly added app switcher in the WeVideo LTI 1.3 integration in the LMSs, users can switch between the Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces using the same integration tool. This update enables users to seamlessly navigate between the two spaces to create videos and add interactions in one place. View Boclips videos in accordance with academic standards.
When viewing Boclips videos on the Video Sources page in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces, users can now switch to the Alignments tab at the top to view videos aligned with the academic standards they match. Adjust notification settings for the account
WeVideo will now send out notifications to users regarding their classes, assignments, ClassFeed discussions, and projects. Notifications can be sent via in-app or email. Users can adjust how they receive notifications in the Notification Settings section under Account Settings. Please see this article for more information on WeVideo’s notification settings. Please note that the owner of the Admin Plus license currently cannot adjust notification settings for their account.
WeVideo screen & webcam recorder Chrome extension is now available in the EU region

Dual recording option for quick recording assignments
The dual recording option is now available when creating the quick recording assignment. With the dual recording option, learners can record their screen and webcam at the same time. Please see this article for more information about the quick recording assignments.
Edit the assignment after assigning it to learners
The assignment can now be edited after it has been assigned to learners. Instructors can edit the title, description, starting blocks, sample video, assignment teams, due date, and ClassFeed options. Please note that the assignment type and participation type (individual or team) can not be edited after the assignment is assigned to learners.
The interactive video’s sidebar will be displayed by default
When launching the interactive videos, the sidebar is now displayed by default to help learners find the interactive video's timestamp and access the player's navigation options. Learners can collapse the sidebar or enter full-screen mode with the player. Please see this article for more information about accessing interactive videos in WeVideo Interactivity.
New active/inactive filter for the members page in the admin panel
Admins can now apply the filter to find users with active/inactive status in their license. Inactive users are those who have been added to the license but have not yet logged in to their accounts. Please see this article for more information about managing members in WeVideo.

Video-based discussion with Multimedia Creation and Quick Recording assignments
Instructors and learners can now leave comments and reply to each other from the ClassFeed in Multimedia Creation and Quick Recording assignments. This feature allows instructors to create a video-based discussion learning experience in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space. Reset quick recording assignments
In rare cases where the quick recording submission upload takes too long due to bandwidth or browser issues, instructors and learners can reset the quick recording assignment for the learner who encountered the issue and allow them to redo the recording. Please see this article for more information about resetting the quick recording assignment for learners.
To-do section on the learner dashboard
A new To-Do section has been added to the learner’s homepage in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space. All assignments awaiting learners’ submissions will be listed here, and learners can click each assignment to jump into it directly from the To-Do section on the homepage.
Update ownership for uploaded media in the account
Instructors and administrators can now transfer the ownership of their uploaded media to other instructors or administrators in the license. After the media is transferred to the new owner, it will appear in their Uploads page in the Multimedia Creation space. Please see this article for more information about transferring ownership for uploaded media.
View Multimedia Creation space in dark mode
WeVideo Multimedia Creation space now supports both light and dark modes. To switch between these two modes, click the user icon in the top-right corner of the window, select Theme, and choose the desired mode from the list.

Restrict video editor access based on role
Account owners and admins can now adjust role permissions from the admin panel to restrict certain roles in the license from accessing the video editor in the Multimedia Creation space. Please see this article for more information on adjusting role permissions in WeVideo.
Unify professional learning flow in WeVideo Interactivity
The professional learning flow in WeVideo Interactivity has been updated to align with the experience in WeVideo Multimedia Creation. When assigning interactive content for professional learning, instructors do not need to specify whether to assign it to users with student accounts or with teacher accounts. The same assignment link will work for both user groups. Please see this article for more information about the unifying workflow for professional learning in Interactivity.
View media in a new tab
When viewing exports or uploaded media from Multimedia Creation, users can now also select to open the media in a new tab by clicking the three-dot button on the media and choosing the "Open in new tab" option.

Account owners can block learners from changing their user names
Account owners can now adjust the permission to prevent learners from changing their user names in WeVideo through the Global settings in the Admin panel. Please see this article for more information about the permission settings in WeVideo.
Dedicated sign-up page for learners
To prevent learners from accidentally signing up for teacher accounts, WeVideo now has a dedicated sign-up page for learners. When guiding your students to create their accounts, make sure to share This Link with them and that they register through it instead of using WeVideo’s homepage.

Quick recording assignments
Quick recording assignments enable learners to utilize the built-in recorder in WeVideo to record videos using their webcam or screen, and then submit the recordings to their instructors and peers. When building the quick recording assignment, instructors can add text and video descriptions, sample videos, and a cover photo to guide learners in creating their recordings. Instructors also have the option to select whether learners can record from their screen, webcam, or both, as well as the maximum recording duration. Improvement to the AI interaction generator
With the updated AI interaction generator, instructors can now further adjust the settings to guide the AI in the generation process to ensure the generated questions best meet the instructional needs. The following features are added to the AI interaction generator:
- Number of Questions: The number of questions that will be generated. If left blank, a random number of questions will be generated based on the length of the video.
- Educator Context: Enter the additional prompts (teaching goals, student level, etc.) to guide the AI interaction generation.
- YouTube Transcript (only available if built with YouTube videos): If the interactive video is built with YouTube videos, this option will be available for users to paste the transcript into the generator.

Enhance interactions with AI
After creating the interaction in the interactive video, instructors now have the option to enhance the interaction with the AI tool by selecting the Enhance with AI option on the interaction. Instructors can enhance the following settings for the interaction:
- Modify with a prompt: Enter the prompts to guide the AI in regenerating the question.
- Update Complexity: Regenerate the question with the selected complexity.
- Replace with a similar question: Regenerate the question with the same question type and complexity settings.
- Translate: Select a language from the list to translate the question and answer options into the selected language.
Please note that the AI enhancement tool is currently only available for question types compatible with the AI interaction generator, which include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, check all that apply, and free-response questions. Only display learners’ submissions in ClassFeed after the instructor has approved them
Instructors can now adjust the ClassFeed settings when building the assignment to display learners’ submissions only after the instructor has approved them. Please see this article for more information about ClassFeed in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation assignment.
Browse Boclips videos directly in WeVideo Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces
Users can browse, preview, and add interactions to Boclips videos directly from the Video Resources page within the Multimedia Creation and Interactivity spaces. Users can find the desired Boclips videos on the video resources page using filters and keywords. After locating a video, users can click on it to view its details and begin adding interactions by importing it into the interactive video editor. Deliver professional learning content in the Multemedua Creation space
Admins and instructors can now enroll in professional learning classes in the Multimedia Creation space to participate as learners. Once enrolled as learners in the professional learning class, participants can access and take the assigned assignments as regular learners. Assignment details page for learners to review the assignment information before taking it
When launching the assignment from the Multimedia Creation space, learners will now see a new Assignment Details page that includes the description, assignment type, and sample videos to better prepare learners before they start taking it. Subtitles translator is available to all accounts with multi-user licenses
The multi-language subtitle generator is available for users with a multi-user license. The multi-language subtitle generator will detect the language used in the video and generate the subtitles accordingly. You can also translate the subtitles to different languages with the multi-language subtitle generator. Please see this article for more information about the subtitles generator in WeVideo.
The reports page is available for the owner of the Admin Plus license.
The new Reports page is available in the Admin Plus panel for the account owner to review and examine the data and usage in the license. The license owner can also review the data from the selected time frame and buildings with the new reports page.
Create projects with uploaded slides
After uploading slides to WeVideo, users now have the option to open the uploaded slides in a project to launch the storyboard editor, with the slides automatically added to the timeline in a sequential order so that users can easily convert them into a video. Users can also manually add the slides to the project by selecting them from the Project Bin in the editor. The slides will be added to the timeline in the sequential order. All the uploaded slides can be accessed from the Project Bin or the Uploads page in the Multimedia Creation space.
Learners can submit their work to ClassFeed
Instructors now have the option to enable ClassFeed for the assignment. Once enabled, learners can submit their assignments to it and view their peers’ submissions from the ClassFeed tab on the Assignment Detail page by launching the assignment from the class.
Assignment card view
When opening the class in the Multimedia Creation space and the Interactivity space, learners can now switch between the list view and the card view to view the assignments in the class.
Preview Boclips videos when creating interactive videos
Users can click on a Boclips video to preview it and view all the information that goes along with the video, such as learning outcomes, assessment questions, and more. Please see this article for more information about creating interactive videos with Boclips videos.

Boclips is now available as a video host in Interactivity and PlayPosit. Instructors can search and import videos from Boclips into the interactive video designer to create engaging interactive videos that incorporate Boclips content. AI-generated scripts in the WeVideo Screen & Webcam Recorder Chrome extension
When using the WeVideo Screen & Webcam Recorder Chrome extension to record videos or create screencasts, users can generate scripts with WeVideo’s AI script generator. The scripts can be edited further after they are generated. Please note that the Script Generator is currently in Beta status and is not available to users with student accounts. New assignment details page
With the new assignment details page, instructors can view assignment information, description, and resources. License owner and admins can adjust whether users can share their created assignment ideas with other users in the organization. Enhance shading for green screen
WeVideo added the new Enhance Shading function to the green screen effect to provide a better viewing experience for the green screen effect. In certain scenarios, WeVideo might fail to distinguish between the subjects and the background due to poor lighting, low image quality, or the color of the green screen not being ideal. In these cases, users can try enabling the enhance shading option and adjusting the sensitivity and defringe options for a better effect. Instructors can create their own assignment ideas
In addition to the official assignment ideas provided by WeVideo, instructors can now create their own assignments or convert their existing assignments into assignment ideas and share them with other instructors in the organization. Owners can manage user access to AI tools in their license.

Copy and combine shared projects in WeVideo
Users can now create copied versions of the shared projects or combine the shared projects into new projects. The copied and combined projects are independent of the original projects and can be modified without impacting them. Learners can now take interactive video or playlist assignments from the class in the Multimedia Creation space without switching to the interactivity space. Users can view the subtitles when watching exports shared with them.
When sharing the export with generated subtitles, users can enable them by clicking the subtitle button on the player. If multiple subtitles are attached to the exports, users can select which subtitle to show. Please see this article for more information about WeVideo subtitles.
The interactive video’s title and thumbnail will be generated automatically when created with videos hosted on PlayPosit.

Add multiple collaborators to interactive videos and playlists in Interactivity
You can now add multiple collaborators to your interactive videos and playlists at once. The added collaborators will have the same access permissions when added, but you can adjust their permissions individually after they are added as collaborators. Filter content in the PlayPosit admin media library with the creator’s last name

Assign Learner Made Interactive Video assignments to anonymous users
Besides assigning to users with WeVideo accounts, the Learner Made Interactive Video assignments can now also be assigned to anonymous users. When assigning to anonymous users, you will have the option to select whether the participants need to enter their names or can take the assignment as anonymous users without their names being stored. URLs are clickable in the Interactivity player
When the URLs are added to the interactions in the interactive video as hyperlinks, they are now clickable, allowing users to visit the link directly by clicking on it without the need to copy and paste the link to a different tab.

Adjust the background color for the clip

Teachers can now add their projects as starting blocks when creating assignments. When interactive videos are shared with users through the preview link, users can now copy the shared interactive videos into their WeVideo account to edit and assign to their own classes. The Preview link allows you to share your interactive videos with others who do not have a WeVideo account. This can be helpful for quality control review or sharing course ideas with other instructors. Please note that the answers submitted through the preview link will not be stored and can not be examined afterward. Hide Used Media from the Project bin
You can now toggle on and off the Hide used media option from the project bin to switch between showing all the media in your project or only showing the media that are in the project but not being used. This can help you organize and identify the media from your project bin when building a new project.
Integrate WeVideo Interactivity into your Learner Management System (LMS)
WeVideo Interactivity can be integrated into Canvas and Schoology as an LTI 1.3 tool. This will allow teachers to assign the interactive videos to the LMS as an assignment, and learners can complete the assignment directly in the LMS without switching to a separate website. Furthermore, after the learners complete the interactive video, their grades will automatically pass back to the LMS grade book so the teachers can monitor learners' progress both from the WeVideo site and the LMS.
