With WeVideo's video editor and audio recorder, users can create an audio-only podcast and export it as an MP3 file. When sharing via the WeVideo player, a transcript can also be added to the podcast for users to view alongside the audio.

Create a podcast project in WeVideo
Click the drop-down next to the Create button and select the Podcast option.
Alternatively, click the Podcast option from the quick action menu to create a podcast project.
Record audio in WeVideo
Select the audio input source from the list and click Start. If you can’t find the audio device you want to use, please follow the troubleshooting steps in this article to adjust your device and browser settings.
Click the Record button to start recording. The recording will start after a three-second countdown.
Click Pause to pause the recording if needed, and click Stop when you are finished. Please note that each recording clip can not exceed 10 minutes. If you want to create a podcast longer than 10 minutes, please split it into clips under 10 minutes and add them to this project.
Preview the recording, and click Save to add it to this project. You can also click the Record Again button to start over, or click the Cancel button to close the recorder without saving.
The recorded audio file will be added to the project bin and the timeline automatically.
To add more recording to the project, click the Add Media button at the top, then select the Narrate option to launch the audio recorder. Repeat the steps in this section to create more recordings as needed.
Edit the audio in WeVideo
Trim the recording
Click and drag the start or end of the audio clip on the timeline to trim it.
Edit the audio clip
Select the audio clip you want to edit, and click the Edit button.
In the clip editor, you can adjust the volume, left and right input sources, the fading effect, and reduce background noise with AI.
Adjust the volume for a portion of the audio clip
If you only want to adjust the volume for a portion of the audio clip, select it from the timeline, then click the Audio & Opacity button at the top and select the Show Audio Level option.
The audio level will be displayed as a blue line on the audio clip. Click on it to add more keyframes to it.
Drag the line between keyframes, or drag a keyframe itself, to adjust the volume for the segment between them.
Export the podcast project
After editing the project, click the Export button at the top of the window to expand the export panel.
Adjust the title, project type, and privacy for the exports. If you have the transcripts for the audio, you can also upload them to the export by clicking the Upload Transcripts option.
Select the export destination as needed. If none of the options are selected, the export will be stored on the Exports page in your WeVideo account. Please see this article for more information on connecting external destinations to your WeVideo account.
Click the Export button to start exporting.
The exported podcast can be found on the Exports page in your WeVideo account. Click on it to view it.
When viewing the exported podcast, click the Captions button to view or upload captions to the podcast.
You can also download the project as an MP3 file, share it through a share link or embed code, or add it to playlists in WeVideo. Please note that the download option may be disabled by the organization admins. If you do not see the download option, please contact your organization's admins to discuss enabling it for users.
