Users can connect their Panopto account to their WeVideo account in the account settings section of WeVideo. Once connected, the Panopto option will appear in the Upload Media panel, allowing users to select and import media directly from Panopto.

Set up the Panopto integration for the license
This part needs to be conducted by the Panopto admins. Once the setup is complete, all users under the license can follow the steps in the next section to connect their Panopto accounts to WeVideo.
Log in to your Panopto account, then navigate to the User Settings from your user icon at the top right of the page.
Switch to the API Clients option and click the Create a New API Client button.
Create a new API client with the following information:
- Client name: WeVideo (or other name you prefer)
- Client URL: https://www.wevideo.com
- Client type: Server-side Web Application
- Allowed Redirect URLs:
- Redirect URL: https://www.wevideo.com/api/5/panopto/auth
Save the new API client information and share the following with your Customer Success Manager so WeVideo can configure the Panopto Integration for you.
- The client ID
- The client secret
- Your Panopto domain (the URL you use to access Panopto, which is usually something like https://#####.hosted.panopto.com)
Connect your Panopto account with your WeVideo account
Click the user icon on the top right of the Multimedia Creation space and select the Account Settings option.
Expand the Connected Apps section, hover over the Panopto option, and click the Connect button.
Log in to your Panopto account from the pop-up window. After you log in to your Panopto account, it will automatically be connected to your WeVideo account. After logging in to your Panopto account, you will remain connected until you manually disconnect it from WeVideo.
Import media from Panopto to WeVideo
Switch to the Uploads page in the Multimedia Creation space, click the Add Media button, and select the Upload option from the drop-down menu.
Alternatively, you can also import media from Panopto when building projects in WeVideo. Click the Add Media button in the WeVideo video editor, and select the Upload option.
Select the Panopto option from the list.
Select the media by clicking the checkbox next to it, and click the Upload File button to import the selected media.
Disconnect your Panopto account from your WeVideo account
Click the user icon on the top right of the Multimedia Creation space and select the Account Settings option.
Expand the Connected Apps section, hover over the Panopto option, and click the Disconnect button.
Once disconnected from your WeVideo account, the Ponopto option will be removed from the media picker when uploading files. If you wish to reconnect to or switch to a different Panopto account, please follow the steps in the "Connect your Panopto account with your WeVideo account" section above.
Limitations for importing media from Panopto to WeVideo
The file imported into WeVideo will consume the storage space in your license. Please ensure you have enough space in your WeVideo license before importing files from Panopto. You can check your available storage space in your account settings and free up space by removing files you no longer use.
