WeVideo provides cloud storage for users to upload media and store the exports. The available storage space varies by license type. The Individuals & Small Business (Creator, Teams, or Enterprise) license holders have unlimited cloud storage, and the Education (Instructor or Organization) license holders have 5 GB per seat in their license.
What are the storage limits in WeVideo?
The cloud storage limits differ by license type.
- Individual & Small Business License: Users with a Creator, Teams, or Enterprise license have unlimited cloud storage for media uploads and project exports.
- Education License: Users with an Instructor or Organization license have 5 GB of storage per seat in the license. For example, if an organization has 1000 seats under its license, it will receive 5000 GB of cloud storage. The available storage is shared by all users under the license; i.e., a user may consume more than 5 GB of storage, but the total storage used under the license cannot exceed its allocated capacity.
How to check the available storage in the license?
To check the available storage on your license, log in to your WeVideo account, navigate to the Multimedia Creation space, click the user icon at the top right of the window, then select Account Settings.
The available storage and usage will be listed with your account information.
How can I free up storage space in my license?
The uploaded media and exported projects will consume storage space under the license. To free up storage space, please remove the uploaded media and exported projects that are no longer in use from your license.
Navigate to the Uploads page in Multimedia Creation, select the files and folders that are no longer in use by checking their checkboxes, then click the Delete button at the top to remove them.
Navigate to the Exports page in Multimedia Creation, select the exports and folders that are no longer in use by checking their checkboxes, then click the Delete button at the top to remove them.
