WeVideo supports a wide variety of browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera 15+, and Safari. Please see this article for more information on supported browsers and best practices for a better experience.

WeVideo’s HTML5 editor is supported on the following browsers:

We recommend using the latest version of your browser. To use the video editor, the following browser versions are required:

  • Google Chrome: 85+
  • Mozilla Firefox: 77+
  • Opera: 71+
  • Microsoft Edge: 85+
  • Safari: 13.1+

If you’re also going to use the recording feature with WeVideo, the following browser versions are required:

  • Google Chrome: 108+
  • Mozilla Firefox: 111+
  • Opera: 94+
  • Microsoft Edge: 108+
  • Safari: 16.4+

Best practices for accessing WeVideo

  • Ensure the browser is up to date for the best experience.
  • We suggest having enough bandwidth to provide 1 megabyte/second upload and download speeds for each device.
  • A stable internet connection is also important for a smooth experience. Please ensure you are connected to a strong and stable internet connection.
  • WeVideo is web-based and works on most systems, but Hardware Accelerated WebGL must be enabled on the browser. Please check that WebGL is enabled in your browser.
  • JavaScript and cookies must be enabled to access WeVideo. Please review WeVideo's cookie policy for more information.

Limitations on accessing WeVideo with different browsers

Screen recording and dual recording features are not available to iPad users, Mac users using Safari, or Firefox users. If you would like to do a screen recording or a dual recording, it is recommended that you use the Chrome browser on Mac or Windows devices.
