How do I collaborate with other instructors in Interactivity?

To collaborate with other instructors in Interactivity, grant access to the desired instructor(s) by adding their email address(es) to the relevant video, playlist, or class. Multiple permission levels are available for collaborators so that instructors can maintain control over their ability to view, share, and edit.

Before you start

  • This article describes instructor collaboration in the Interactivity space. To collaborate in the Multimedia Creation space, refer to this article on co-teacher flow.
  • Invited collaborators must be within the same WeVideo license. If you receive an error of “Unable to find matches in your institution,” please contact your account administrator.

Collaborate at the interactive video level

Within the Interactivity space, navigate to the Interactive Videos page.

Find the interactive video to which you’d like to add collaborators. Then click the three-dots menu and click Collaborate.

Note: To add collaborators to multiple interactive videos at once, select them with the checkboxes, then click Manage permissions.

Switch to the Collaborators tab, type in the email address(es), and choose your preferred permissions level: Co-editor or Facilitator. (See below for a detailed table explaining permissions.) Then click Add Access.

Edit access, remove collaborators, or transfer ownership at any time by returning to the collaboration panel described above (Interactive Videos > three-dots menu > Collaborate > Collaborators tab).

Within the Interactivity space, navigate to the Playlists page. Find the playlist to which you’d like to add collaborators. Then click the three-dots menu.

Note: To add collaborators to multiple playlists at once, select them via the checkboxes and then click Manage permissions.

The classes page in the Interactivity space

Within the Interactivity space, navigate to the Classes page. Click on the class to which you’d like to add collaborators.

Type in the email address(es), and choose your preferred permissions level: Instructor or Teaching Assistant.

If you are the class owner, you can choose whether to adjust the interactive video/playlist permissions to align with the class permission. For example, if the newly added instructor has Co-editor access to an interactive video in the class and is added to the class as the Teaching Assistant, then turning on this toggle would “downgrade” their video permission from Co-editor to Facilitator.
