Upload media to the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space by clicking the Uploads tab, then selecting Add media and Upload or Record. Drag and drop files or import from social sites.

Upload media to the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space

Click Uploads from the Multimedia Creation space to find created folders and uploaded files.
Click the Add Media button, then select Upload to upload media from the device, or select Record to launch the video recorder.
Click Browse Files to select files from the device, or drag and drop them here to upload.
You can also import the media from Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Google Slides, or PowerPoint. Select the import source you want to use, and click the Sign In button to connect your account. If your organization has enabled the Panopto integration and you have connected your Panopto account to WeVideo, there will also be a Panopto option in the list to import videos from Panopto.
After logging in, you can see the folders and files in your cloud drive. Select the file you want to import, and click the Select button to add it to WeVideo.
Create new folders
Click the Create folder button.
Enter the name of the new folder, then click Create.
Manage and organize uploaded files
Manage media by hovering over the file and clicking the triple dot icon for the following actions:
- Open: Preview the uploaded media.
- Open in new tab: Preview media in a new tab.
- Download: Download uploaded media to the device.
- Rename: Update the uploaded media’s name.
- Move to: Move the uploaded media into a folder.
- Delete: Delete uploaded media from the account.
- Change owner: Transfer ownership of the uploaded media to other instructors or administrators within the license.
Apply a filter to view only videos, audio, recordings, or images.
Search for files with keywords.
Change ownership of uploaded media
Click the three-dot button next to the media and select Change owner.
To change ownership of multiple media at once, select them all before clicking the Change owner option from the top toolbar. The uploaded media has now been transferred to the new account.
Media upload limitations
School admins may turn off the Download option. If there is no option in the menu, contact school admins to discuss whether it can be enabled.
