Access role permissions
Log in to WeVideo with an admin account, and use the drop-down menu at the top to switch to the Admin space.
Select the Settings option to open the WeVideo Settings page to adjust the role permissions.
Types of roles
Multi-license organizations have four default roles:
- Owner - The primary owner of the organization who has full administrative access to manage the members, modify role permissions, and change settings in the Global tab. There is only one Owner account per organization.
- Admin - This role provides access to the Admin tab to manage the members and modify role permissions.
- Teacher/Lead - This role allows users to create and manage Groups and classes.
- Student/user - This role only allows users to access their media and projects.
Custom roles
To create a new custom role, right-click an existing role and select "Duplicate" to copy its properties.
Enter the title you want for the new custom role, then click Save.
The new custom role will appear on the left side of the Settings tab alongside the other roles. The custom roles will have the same role permissions settings as the role they were duplicated from.
