The gradebook column for the interactive video will be created automatically when it is published to classes in WeVideo. Instructors can examine learners’ grades for the interactive video in the gradebook for each class and access the monitor page for the interactive video to view more information about learners’ submissions to the assignment.

Before you start
Assign an interactive video to classes in WeVideo for learners to generate the gradebook column in classes
Navigate to the Interactive Videos page in the Multimedia Creation space, click the triple-dot actions button on the interactive video you want to assign, and select Assign.
Alternatively, navigate to the Interactive Videos page in WeVideo Interactivity, click the interactive video’s thumbnail you want to assign, and select Assign.
Select the Assign Preferences from one of the following options:
- Assign to learners: Users with a WeVideo account (teacher or student) can access the interactive video after logging in.
- Assign to people outside the organization: Users can access the interactive video via the assignment link without logging in to a WeVideo account. They will be asked to enter their name before starting the assignment.
- Assign to anonymous participants: Users can access the interactive video via the assignment link without logging in to a WeVideo account. No personal information will be stored, and all participants will be listed as anonymous users.
Enter the start and end dates for the assignment. The assignment will be available to learners in the class after the start date, and will be locked from learners after the end date.
Select the classes to assign the interactive video to by clicking the checkbox next to each class title in the list. You can also create new classes here by clicking the New Class button.
Click Assign to assign the interactive video to the selected classes.
If learners are already enrolled in the class, they can navigate to the class to take the assignment. If they are not enrolled in the class yet, please share the assignment link with them so they can access the interactive video. They will be automatically enrolled in the class once they click the link.
Access the gradebook in WeVideo classes
Instructors can view the learners’ grades for all assignments or for a single assignment for more details.
View the gradebook for all assignments in the class
Switch to the Interactivity space, navigate to the Classes page, then click the class you want to examine.
Switch to the Gradebook tab to view the grades for all interactive assignments assigned to this class.
On the gradebook page, you can find the learners’ grades for all the assignments in the class. The grades will be listed in the following formats:
- Percentage/points: The grades learners received for this assignment after completing it.
- “-%”: Learners have started the assignment but have not yet completed it.
- “-”: Learners have not started the assignment yet.
Instructors can click the Show Points/Percentage option at the top of the page to toggle between showing points and percentage.
To export the gradebook data, click the Data Export button at the top right of the window to save it as a CSV file.
View the gradebook for each assignment
From the Multimedia Creation space, navigate to the Classes page and click the class to launch into it.
Click the interactive video assignment to launch its gradebook.
Alternatively, the assignment gradebook can be accessed from the Interactivity space. Navigate to the Classes page in Interactivity and click the class to launch it.
Click the interactive video thumbnail and select Monitor to open its gradebook.
On the interactive video’s gradebook page, you can view learners’ status, scores, and responses to each question.
To adjust learners' points, click their submissions and use the point options below to assign a new point.
To export the gradebook data, click the Data Export button at the top right of the window to save it as a CSV file.
Plan and role requirements for examining learners’ grades from the WeVideo gradebook
Users with the teacher or administrator role under the Educational license (Instructor or Organization) can access WeVideo Interactivity to create and assign interactive videos to learners and monitor their progress from the gradebook in WeVideo Classes.
Instructors and administrators can examine learners’ grades for the class they teach or for the class in which they are added as a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
