Access the monitor page
After learners submit their learner-made interactive videos, the instructor can review and grade submissions from the assignment monitor page. Please follow the steps below to review and grade learners’ submissions.
If the learner made interactive video assignment is assigned through the LMS, navigate to the assignment in the LMS and click the Monitor button on the Manage Link page to access the monitor page.
If the learner-made interactive video assignment is assigned within WeVideo Classes, switch to the Interactivity space with the drop-down menu at the top.
Select the Classes tab in the sidebar menu, then select the class where the learner-made interactive video is assigned.
Click the thumbnail or the action button of the learner-made interactive video assignment from the Interactive Videos tab in the class and select the Monitor option. If you would like to open the monitor page in a new tab, click the Open in New Tab button next to the Monitor option.
On the monitor page for the learner-made interactive video, instructors can view the following information:
- Learner name
- Status in the assignment
- Score: Instructors can assign and edit scores for learners from the monitor page. Please follow the steps in the next section to grade learners’ submissions.
- Lock/unlock submissions: Instructors can unlock submissions to allow learners to edit their interactive videos and resubmit new versions. Please note that learners will not be able to edit and resubmit their assignments after the due date.
- Preview: Preview the submitted interactive videos.
- Copy: Copy the submitted interactive videos to the instructor’s account. The copied interactive videos can be edited and assigned to other classes.
Review learners’ submissions
Click the Preview button next to the learner’s submission to watch the submitted interactive video in the Interactivity player.
When watching the interactive video, instructors can use the fast-forward and rewind buttons, or drag the playhead on the progress bar to navigate to different parts of the video.
Instructors can also click the gear icon in the lower-right corner to adjust the volume, playback speed, and captions, if needed.
When watching learner-made interactive videos, answers to each question will not be saved. Therefore, instructors do not need to answer the questions in the interactive videos. Instructors can click the player's play button to resume video playback when the questions appear.
However, the comments left in the discussion interaction will be saved and displayed to the learner when they return to the assignment to review their submissions. Learners can view comments on their own submissions and reply to start discussions with their instructors.
After reviewing the learner-made interactive video, click the Back button in the sidebar to return to the monitor page, then repeat the steps in this section to review others' submissions.
Grade learners’ submissions
From the monitor page of the learner-made interactive video, click the Enter Grade Mode button at the top of the page.
Set each learner's grade in the class. After setting learners' grades, click the Save Grades button at the top of the page.
If the assignment is linked to the LMS, click the Sync Grades button after editing and saving the grades in Interactivity to ensure they are synced to the LMS.
