If you want to unlink the content from the LMS without linking it to another assignment in the LMS course, please follow the workflow in the Unlink the interactive content from the LMS assignment section to unlink the interactive content.
If you wish to link the content to another LMS assignment, please follow the steps in the Relink the interactive content to a different LMS assignment section to relink the content to a different LMS assignment.
Unlink the interactive content from the LMS assignment
Navigate to the class in the LMS and launch the WeVideo Interactivity integration. You will have to create a new LMS assignment to access the WeVideo Interactivity LMS integration. Once the interactive content is unlinked, you can cancel the assignment creation, and no new assignment will be created.
Please follow the instructions below to access the integration.
Click the Set Link button to launch into WeVideo Interactivity.
Find the interactive content, click its thumbnail or the triple-dot actions button, then select the Unlink option from the list.
Click Unlink to confirm and unlink the interactive content. After unlinking the interactive content, all previous learner attempts will be deleted. If it is relinked to another assignment in the same LMS course in the future, learners will have to retake the assignment to receive new grades.
The interactive content is now unlinked from the LMS course. Close the tab to cancel creating a new assignment and return to the LMS. Please ensure you remove the original assignment to which the interactive content was linked from the LMS as well.
Relink the interactive content to a different LMS assignment
If you have followed the steps in the previous section to unlink the interactive content from the original LMS assignment, you can link it to another assignment with the same workflow as linking a normal interactive content.
If you haven’t unlinked the interactive content yet, you can do so when linking it to a new assignment in the LMS. Please follow the instructions below to create a new assignment in your LMS and launch the WeVideo Interactivity integration from the newly created LMS assignment.
Click the LMS icon next to the interactive content and select the Link option.
You will see a warning message indicating that this interactive content has already been linked to another assignment. Click Unlink to unlink it from the original assignment so it can be linked to this assignment. Alternatively, if you want to keep both assignments active, you can click the Copy button to create a copy of this interactive content and link the copied version to this assignment.
Click Unlink to confirm and unlink the interactive content from the original assignment. After unlinking the interactive content, all previous learner attempts will be deleted, and learners will have to retake it from this new assignment to receive new grades.
The interactive content is now ready to be relinked. Click the LMS icon next to it again and select the Link option.
Select whether the learner experience is self-paced or live broadcast, set a due date for the assignment, and click Set Link to link it to the assignment.
The interactive content is now linked to the new LMS assignment. Please ensure you remove the original assignment to which the interactive content was linked from the LMS.
Update the linked interactive content in the LMS assignment
If the LMS assignment or pages need to be kept in place but the linked interactive content needs to be updated, instructors can follow the steps below to update the linked interactive content in the assignment.
Canvas
Click the three-dot button next to the Canvas assignment and select Edit.
Select More Options.
Scroll down to the Submission Type section and click the Find button.
Select the Interactivity tool from the list to launch into WeVideo Interactivity.
Click Set Link to launch into WeVideo Interactivity.
Click the Canvas icon next to the interactive content and click Link to link it to the assignment.
Select the learner experience to be Self Paced or Live Broadcast, then click Set Link.
Click Select to complete the process.
Other LMSs
Please unlink the interactive content, remove the original activity, and link the new interactive content to the course as a new activity.
