Instructors can export a CSV report from the interactive video’s monitor page to find the maximum timestamp the learner reached in the interactive video.
Before you start
- Create interactive videos for learners
- Adjust the interactive video settings to allow learners to retake it.
- Create classes in WeVideo or the LMS
- Assign the interactive videos to learners via classes in WeVideo or the LMS
Export the interactive video report from the monitor page
If the interactive video is assigned to a class, navigate to the Interactivity space, click the Classes tab, and select the class where it is assigned.
Click the interactive video thumbnail and select the Monitor option from the list.
If the interactive video is assigned to the LMS course, navigate to the assignment in the LMS, then click the Monitor button on the Manage Link page.
Click the Data Export button at the top-right of the monitor page to download the data report as a CSV file.
Click the Export Data button to confirm.
In the exported report, instructors can find the following information for the interactive video.
- Status: The learner’s status in the interactive video.
- Start time: The date and time when the learner launches the interactive video.
- Time spent: The total time the learner spent in the interactive video.
- Max video timestamp: The latest timestamp the learner reached in the interactive video. This data shows when the learner exits the interactive video, indicating a potential drop-off point.
- Completion time: The date and time when the learner finished the interactive video.
- The learner’s submission for each interaction.
- The date and time the learner submits answers for each interaction.
Check the Max Video Timestamp column to see the max timestamp learners reach in the video. If a learner's max timestamp equals the length of the interactive video, it indicates they watched the entire video. If the max timestamp is shorter than the interactive video's length, it means the learner did not finish and exited early.
Role and plan requirements for accessing the interactive video assignment analytic report.
All instructors and administrators with an education license (Instructor or Organization) can create interactive videos and assign them to learners.
Instructors and administrators can examine learners' submissions and download the data export from the interactive video in the classes they teach, or from the class in which they are added as a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
