Access interactive video settings
From the interactive video designer
From the Multimedia Creation space, switch to the Interactive Videos page and click the Edit button on the interactive video.
Alternatively, you can access the interactive video designer from the Interactivity space. Switch to the My Interactive Videos page in Interactivity, click on the thumbnail of the interactive video, and select Edit.
Switch to the Review tab in the interactive video designer to access the interactive video settings.
From the interactive videos page
Switch to the My Interactive Videos page in Interactivity, click on the thumbnail of the interactive video, and select Settings to access the interactive video settings.
Adjust the interactive video settings
Thumbnail and title
To replace the interactive video thumbnail, click on the current thumbnail and select a new image from your device.
Update the title and add the learning objective to the interactive video. The Learning Objective is intended to serve as a tool to help instructors organize interactive videos, and it will not be visible to learners.
Click Save to save the changes.
Tags
Click the Tags section on the interactive video settings page to expand it.
Enter the keywords/tags you want to add to the interactive video. If you have previously entered tags for other interactive videos, you can select them from the dropdown menu to reuse them.
Select the target audience for the interactive video from the list.
Select the subject for this interactive video from the list.
Click Save to save the changes.
Playback options
Click the Playback Options section on the interactive video settings page to expand it.
The following options can be adjusted from the interactive video settings:
- Allow learners to rewind after an interaction appears: Learners can rewind and rewatch the video when the interaction appears.
- Allow learners to skip interactions: All interactions in the interactive video will become optional, and learners can move forward without answering questions.
- Allow viewers to fast forward: Learners can jump to different timestamps in the interactive video with the progress bar.
- Allow learners to retake the interactive video upon completion: Learners can click the Retake button when they complete the interactive video to archive their previous submission and retake the interactive video. Please note that once the learner clicks the retake button, they will need to answer all the questions in the interactive video again to mark it as completed and receive a new score.
- Allow learners to view their printable report: After completing the interactive video, learners can download a report that includes all the interactions and answers they submitted.
- Allow learners to increase playback speed: Allow learners to increase the video playback speed up to 2x.
- Disable captions for this video: Turn off the captions for this video.
- Hide learner score upon interactive video completion: Learners will not see their scores when completing the interactive video. They will see the confirmation page for interactive video completion without the score.
- Do not mark interactive video complete unless learner scores at least ____: Set the minimum scores the learners need to meet to complete the interactive video. If the learners don’t meet the set scores, they must retake the interactive video until they reach the minimum scores. This option can only be enabled if the Allow learner to retake the interactive video upon completion option is selected first.
Click Save to save the changes.
Privacy
Click the Privacy section on the interactive video settings page to expand it. Please note that the privacy settings will only affect whether other instructors can find this interactive video in the Premade Content Library and will not affect whether learners can access it.
Interactive video default settings
Besides adjusting the interactive video settings for each interactive video, you can also adjust the interactive video default settings in the User Profile to apply to all interactive videos you create in the future.
Click your user icon on the top right of the window and select User Settings.
Scroll down to the Interactive Video Defaults section and toggle on the options you want to enable.
Please note that these changes will only affect interactive videos created after the changes have been implemented. For the existing interactive videos, please follow the steps in the previous section to adjust their settings individually.
