Instructors can add knowledge checkpoints to the interactive video by adding questions to each section to assess learners' performance after each section. The results will be documented on the monitor page, providing instructors with a clear view of which parts of the video learners are struggling with.

Before you start

Examine learners’ performance in the interactive video to find the parts they are struggling with

The monitor page can be accessed from the Classes tab or via the assignment in the learning management system if the interactive video is assigned via the LTI integration.

Access from the Classes tab

The classes page in the Multimedia Creation space

The interactive video assigned to a class can be monitored by navigating to the class in WeVideo. From the Multimedia Creation space, navigate to the Classes tab and click on the class to launch it.

The interactive video analytics option at the top of the monitor page.

If you want to view the result in a diagram format for better understanding of learners’ performance, click the Interactive Video Analytics option at the top left of the monitor page to view the analytics chart.

The analytics chart of the interactive video

At the top of the chart, each question’s correctness rate will be displayed in a bar chart, providing a clear view of learners’ performance in the interactive video.

The limitation for examining learners’ performance in the interactive videos

If the interactions in the interactive video allow multiple attempts, only the most recent submissions will be displayed on the monitor page. If you want to view learners’ initial performance after they watch the video, please disable multiple attempts for interactions in the interactions’ advanced settings.

Plan and role permissions for examining learners’ performance in the interactive videos

All instructors and administrators with an education license (Instructor or Organization) can create interactive videos with knowledge-check interactions and assign them to learners.

Instructors and administrators can examine learners' submissions and monitor their performance in the classes they teach or in the class in which they are added as a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
