Before you start
- User accounts must be within the same WeVideo license to edit collaboratively. If you are unable to invite someone, check with your account administrator to ensure the user is on your license.
How to invite users to collaborate
To collaborate on multimedia projects in WeVideo, users must first be invited to a project or folder.
On projects
You can invite collaborators to an individual project by clicking the Invite Collaborator button in the multimedia editor. See this resource for full instructions on inviting collaborators to projects.
Within folders
Alternatively, you can invite collaborators to an entire folder, granting them collaborative access to all projects within that folder. See this resource for more on sharing folders in WeVideo.
Ways to edit collaboratively in WeVideo
Once users are invited, they will be able to view, edit, export, and duplicate the projects they have access to. To start editing collaboratively, users can simply click Edit on any shared project from the Projects page.
Multiple WeVideo users can work on the same project simultaneously via real-time collaboration. See this resource for more information on real-time collaboration.
Plan and permission requirements for collaborative editing
- Collaborative editing is available to all WeVideo users; however, as mentioned above, users must fall under the same WeVideo license to collaborate.
- Admin Plus users can collaborate both within and across buildings, but cross-building collaboration will require a setting change by the license owner.
