Test the class in WeVideo as a learner
There are two ways to view a class from a learner’s perspective:
- Preview classes as a learner: Instructors can switch between teacher and student views.
- Enroll in classes as a learner: Instructors can enroll in classes as learners to experience the learner workflow. Fully experience all class features, including assignments and ClassFeed discussions.
Preview classes as a learner
Find the class from the Classes tab, and click the "eye" icon next to the class title to preview the class as a learner.
Instructors can now view the class from the learners' perspectives. After previewing, click Exit student view to return to the Classes page.
Enroll in class as a learner
Navigate to a class and switch to the People tab.
Click Add people and select Enroll learners manually.
Select users to enroll, then click the Enroll button.
Once test learners are enrolled, log in as the test learner, navigate to the Classes page, switch to the Enrolled tab, and click on the class title to launch it.
Test learners can view all of the assignment information, jump into the assignment, and submit their work to the teacher. See this article for more information on how learners complete assignments in WeVideo.
Remove test learners from class by returning to the People tab as the instructor. Select the triple-dot action button, then select Remove.
Select Remove member to confirm.
Limitations to previewing classes as a learner
- Previewing classes as a learner lets instructors view the class, but does not allow them to complete assignments or participate in discussions.
- Enrolling in classes as a learner requires at least two instructors to work together to test the class.
- The turn-in feature is not available when previewing the video, GIF, and podcast assignments.
- The Jump in and Turn in features are not available for quick recording or interactive video assignments.
