How do you link your WeVideo account to your LMS account?

First-time WeVideo Users

If the user has never signed up for a WeVideo account before, WeVideo will use the information acquired from the LMS to create an account for the user when they launch the integration for the first time. The email address for the generated WeVideo account will be the same as the email address the user used in the LMS.

With the LMS integration, users can access their WeVideo account without the need to enter their email and password. If users want to log into their account from WeVideo’s website, they can follow the steps in this article to set a password for their account, allowing them to log in through WeVideo’s website with their email and password.

Existing WeVideo Users

If the user has an existing WeVideo account, WeVideo will not create a new account for them when they launch the integration from the LMS. Instead, they can follow the steps below to link their existing WeVideo account with their LMS account. Please note that to link the existing WeVideo account with the LMS account, the email must be the same for these two accounts.

Log in to the WeVideo account from WeVideo’s website.

Access the LTI registration code from the account. The code can be found in the Interactivity space and the Multimedia Creation space.

  • In the Interactivity space:
    1. Click the user icon on the top right of the window.
    2. Select User Settings and scroll down to the LTI Settings section.
    3. Click Generate Code and copy the generated code.
  • In the Multimedia Creation space:
    1. Click the user icon on the top right of the window and select Account Settings.
    2. Expand the LTI Settings section and click the Generate LTI Connection Code button.
    3. Copy the generated code.

Launch the WeVideo integration from the LMS. Please see the articles from this list below for more information about accessing WeVideo integration for different LMS platforms.

Paste the copied LTI connection code from the WeVideo account into the input section and click Submit.

The account is now linked with the LMS.
