Why can’t I download my exports?

There are two common reasons that you may be unable to download your exports

  1. The media is still processing
  2. Your WeVideo account administrator has disabled the download option for license holders within your organization.

Common causes for exports not being downloadable

Cause How to Identify This as the Cause
The media is still processing. When you click the video you’d like to export from the Exports page, the download button is grayed out, and a message appears: “Processing: The video will be ready in several minutes.”
Your WeVideo account admin has disabled the download feature.

Your video has finished processing, and you can preview your export on the Exports page, but the download button is still grayed out (while the other buttons in the same menu are not).

For this to be the cause of your problem downloading exports, you must also be under an organizational WeVideo license, such as a student or instructor within a school district.

Troubleshooting steps for exports not being downloadable

Your media is still processing

If the media is still processing, please return to the Exports page later to download it once the process is complete.

The media is done processing, but you still can’t download it

If you suspect that your account administrator has disabled the download function, please contact your school admins to confirm the setting and discuss enabling this function.
