Yes, students can unsubmit an assignment in WeVideo by finding the assignment and clicking Unsubmit in the three-dot menu. Follow the step-by-step guide below for more detailed instructions and tips.
Before you begin
Before you start, please note these important points about unsubmitting an assignment in WeVideo:
- To make any edits to a submitted multimedia creation assignment, students must first unsubmit it using the instructions below.
- Both individual learners and learners working on team assignments may unsubmit an assignment in WeVideo.
- Only multimedia creation projects may be unsubmitted following the instructions below; interactive video assignments may be retaken only if the instructor has enabled the Retake feature.
Learners: Click Unsubmit to withdraw an assignment
Find the assignment you’d like to unsubmit by navigating to the class (within the Classes page) and then switching to the Turned in tab.
Click the three dots next to the assignment title to open the menu, and then click Unsubmit.
Click the Yes, unsubmit button to unsubmit the submission. Once you’ve unsubmitted your assignment, it will be moved back to the To Do tab.
To edit your assignment, click on it from the To Do tab. This will open the assignment’s instructions and details; click the Continue button to open the multimedia editor and make any desired video edits.
When you’re finished editing your assignment, click the Turn in button to resubmit your assignment for review.
Learners in team assignments
Any student working in an assignment team can unsubmit an assignment on behalf of their team by following the same instructions above.
If a team member unsubmits an assignment while other teammates are previewing it, those teammates will receive a notification that their teammate unsubmitted the assignment.
Instructor view: What happens to unsubmitted assignments?
When an assignment is unsubmitted by a student, the assignment will be marked as In progress. If the assignment is unsubmitted by the learner while you are in the process of reviewing the assignment, you will receive a notification that the learner has unsubmitted this assignment.
When the assignment is resubmitted, the status will show as Turned in; the assignment will be clickable so you can view it and provide feedback to the student.
