In the WeVideo class gradebook, instructors can review learners’ progress and see their performance for each interactive video. The gradebook allows the instructor to identify the learners with high play rates with low completion or quiz performance.
Before you start
- Create interactive videos for learners
- Create classes in WeVideo or your learning management system
- Assign the interactive videos to learners via the WeVideo classes or the LMS course
Examine learners’ progress and performance from the class gradebook.
Log in to WeVideo, navigate to the Interactivity space, then select the class where you want to examine learners’ data.
Switch to the gradebook page in the class to view learners' grades for each interactive video.
Learners’ grades will be displayed in the following three formats to indicate their status:
- Percentage or points: This indicates that the learner has completed the interactive video and earned points.
- -%: A dash with the percentage means the learner has started the video, but hasn’t completed it yet.
- -: A dash means that the learner has not started the interactive video.
With these indicators, instructors can quickly identify learners with a high play rate and low completion or quiz performance. For example:
- The first learner has full credit for all three interactive videos in the class, indicating that they have completed them with correct answers.
- The second learner has grades for all three interactive videos, but the grades are low. This indicates that the learner has a high play rate but with low performance in the class.
- The third learner has the -% status for all three interactive videos, which means this learner has watched all the videos but not completed them, indicating a high play rate and a low completion rate.
- The fourth learner has “-” status for all three interactive videos. This means the learner has not started any video in the class yet.
To view the time the learner spent in the interactive video, click their grades or status block to see details of their performance.
Plan and role requirements for examining learners’ data from the class gradebook
All instructors and administrators with an education license (Instructor or Organization) can create interactive videos and assign them to learners.
Instructors and administrators can examine learners' submissions and monitor their performance in the classes they teach or in the class in which they are added as a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
