WeVideo tracks learners’ activities in an interactive video assignment in real time, and the data can be found on the assignment's monitor page. Recorded data can help instructors better understand learners’ engagement with the interactive video and identify potential drop-off points.

Before you start
- Create interactive videos for learners

Access the monitor data
The interactive video assigned in WeVideo classes can be monitored by navigating to the class in WeVideo. From the Multimedia Creation space, navigate to the Classes page and click on the class to launch it.
Click on the assignment to launch the monitor page for the interactive video.
Alternatively, instructors can also switch to the Interactivity space, navigate to the Classes page, and click on the class to launch it.
Click the interactive video’s thumbnail and select the Monitor option.
If the interactive video is assigned to classes in the LMS through the WeVideo LTI integration, instructors will need to access the monitor page from the LMS assignment. Navigate to the course in the LMS, launch the assignment, then click the Monitor button on the Manage Link page to open the monitor page.
On the monitor page, you can see the following information about learners’ activity in the interactive video.

Status: Whether the learner has completed the interactive video, there are three statuses:
- Not started: The learner has not started the interactive video yet.
- In progress: The learner has started the interactive video but has not yet completed it.
- Completed: The learner has answered all the required questions and reached the end of the interactive video. The completion date and time will also be shown with the status.
- The response to each question in the interactive video. This will give a quick idea of where the learner stops watching and exits the interactive video.

To view more precise, detailed information about learners’ activity in the interactive video, instructors can export the report from the interactive video monitor page.
Click the Data Export button at the top-right of the monitor page to download the data report as a CSV file.
Click the Export Data button to confirm.
In the exported report, instructors can find the following information for the interactive video.
- Start time: The date and time when the learner launches the interactive video.
- Time spent: The total time the learner spent in the interactive video.
- Max video timestamp: The latest timestamp the learner reached in the interactive video. This data shows when the learner exits the interactive video, indicating a potential drop-off point.
- Completion time: The date and time when the learner finished the interactive video.
- The learner’s submission for each interaction.
- The date and time the learner submits answers for each interaction.
- The time spent on each interaction.

All instructors and administrators with an Educational license (Instructor or Organization) can create interactive videos and assign them to learners.
Instructors and administrators can examine learners' submissions and download the data export from the interactive video in the classes they teach, or from the class in which they are added as a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
