Can I add alternative text to images in Interactivity interactions?

Yes, alternative text can be added in Interactivity to images as well as PDF files added to interactions and playlists. Select the image box from the rich text editor, select Upload, and enter alternative text in the Alternative description section. Click Save.

In Interactivity, select Interactive Videos and click the Create New Interactive Video button.

Available video source options are displayed in the interactive video editor for users to choose from.

Select a video source from the list.

A selected video is displayed in the interactive video editor. Click Done to import it or click Customize to adjust the captions and trim it.

Click Done to import the video or adjust captions and trim & crop by clicking Customize.

Click the Create New Interaction button and click the Image icon from the rich text editor.

Select Upload to attach an image.

The Alternative Description section is highlighted in the image upload window to prompt users to add alternative text.

Insert the alternative text in the Alternative Description section and click Save.

Add alternative text to PDFs and images in playlists

Rename the PDF or image file to the alternative text before uploading. Once uploaded, the file name will be read out by the screen reader as the alternative text.

In Interactivity, select Playlists and click the Create Playlist button.

Click Add Module.

Select Add Other and click the Add Attachment section to upload a PDF file or image as an attachment.  

Repeat as needed for PDFs and images in the playlist.
