Can I add instructors to the license through Interactivity?

In this article:

Yes, in addition to adding users through the Admin panel in WeVideo, license administrators can also create new instructor accounts via Interactivity by following the instructions in this article.

Note: 

  • Only instructors can be added to the license through Interactivity. To add learners to the license, please follow the steps in this article.
  • Instructors who already have an account can not be added through the workflow in this article, and should be added with the invite code from the WeVideo Admin page. Please see this article for more information.

Create instructor accounts from WeVideo Interactivity

After logging in to an Admin WeVideo account, use the app switcher in the top-left corner to switch to the Interactivity space.

Select the Administration tab in the left sidebar, then select the Instructors tab.

Click the Add Instructor button, and there are two ways to add instructors to Interactivity.

Option 1: Manual Entry

Enter the first name, last name, email, and password for the newly created instructor account, and select the organization that the account should be added to with the dropdown menu if multiple organizations are included in the license at the bottom. Please note that the passwords must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Click Add to add it to the license.

After the account is created and added to the license, a notification will appear. You can then repeat the steps to create another account or click Cancel to close the window. 

Option 2: CSV Upload

Download the CSV template here and fill it out with the users’ information. Multiple users can be added in a single CSV file. Please note that the passwords must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Select the organization where you want to add these instructors (if multiple organizations are available in the license), then click the Upload CSV File button at the bottom to select the instructor roster from your device created in the previous step.

The entries in the CSV file will be listed for review before import into the license. After confirming the information, click the Import Users button to import the listed users.

Accounts are now created and added to the license. Click Close to close the window.

Remove instructor accounts from WeVideo Interactivity

Note: Accounts removed from Interactivity will be permanently deleted, and users will no longer have access to them. If you wish to remove the accounts from the license while allowing users to retain access to their accounts with a free WeVideo plan, please follow the steps in this article to convert the user to a free account.

Select the instructors from the list on the Administration page’s Instructors tab in Interactivity by clicking the check box next to their name, then click the Delete Instructor button at the top.

Select whether to clear all personal identifiable information from WeVideo, and if you would like to retain copies of the media from the selected users. Media copies will count toward the license storage usage.

Click Delete Member to remove the selected users.
