The Assignment Ideas Library provides dozens of premade assignments that can be added to your class in WeVideo Multimedia Creation space. You can edit these assignment ideas in your class or publish them to your learners right away! While the assignment ideas can not be assigned directly to the LMS, instructors and learners can follow the steps in this article to utilize the content in the Assignment Ideas Library with the LMS through WeVideo classes.
For instructors: Create an assignment in the LMS with assignment ideas
Create an assignment in the LMS for WeVideo Multimedia Creation with the steps in the following articles:

- Create assignments for WeVideo Multimedia Creation in Schoology
After creating the assignment in the LMS, click the WeVideo app from the sidebar of the LMS menu to launch into the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space.
If you haven’t created a class in WeVideo yet, select the Classes tab on the sidebar, click the Add New Class button, and select the Create Class option to create a new class in WeVideo. Please note that the classes created in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space are not connected with the course in the LMS, and learners need to join the class manually by entering the class code. Once the assignment in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space is completed, learners can submit their work to the instructor for review and grading in the LMS.
After the class is created, switch to the Assignment Ideas Library to browse for assignment ideas suitable for the assignment. Please see this article for more information about the Assignment Ideas Library.
Click on the assignment idea to open it and view its details.
If the assignment idea is suitable for your course, click the Save to Class As Draft button to save it to the class.
Select the class and click Save to Class to save it to the selected class as a draft.
Return to the class in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space, and click on the draft to edit it.
Update the title, description, and other attached media as needed, and then click Next to proceed to the next step.
Adjust the participation type, due date, and whether to enable ClassFeed for this assignment. Please see this article for more information about ClassFeed in WeVideo.
Click Assign to assign this assignment to the class.
Switch to the People tab in the class and click the Share Invite Link or Code button if learners haven’t joined the class yet.
Copy the code and share it with learners to join the class in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space to complete the assignment.
For learners: Complete the assignment created with assignment ideas in the LMS
Access the assignment in the LMS and read through the instructions provided by the instructor.
Click the WeVideo app from the sidebar of the LMS menu to launch into the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space.
If you are not part of the class in the WeVideo Multimedia Creation space yet, switch to the Classes page, click the Join Class button, and enter the class code provided by your instructor to join the class. If you are not sure which class you should be in, please contact your instructor to confirm the class title.
Switch the Classes tab on the sidebar menu to navigate to the Classes page and click on the class where the assignment is assigned.
Click on the assignment and read through the instructions on the assignment details page. Then, click the Jump in button to start working on the assignment.
Learners can start working on the assignment with the multimedia editor. If this is a group project, learners can collaborate simultaneously, and their account icons will be listed at the top. Please see these articles for more information about editing projects in WeVideo.
Once the project is complete and ready for submission, click Turn In to finalize it. If this is a group project, only one group member needs to click the Turn In button, and the project will be submitted for all group members.
After submitting the project, click the Exports tab on the sidebar to access the exports page and select the turned-in project.
Click the Share button to share the exports to the assignment in LMS.
Expand the Canvas or Schoology option, select the assignment from the dropdown, and click Send to submit the assignment to the LMS. Please note that the export can only be shared with the LMS after the export process is completed.
