How do I create assignments in my class with the Assignment Ideas Library?

The Assignment Ideas Library provides dozens of premade assignments that can be added to your class. You can edit these assignment ideas in your class or publish them to your learners right away! Please follow the steps below to visit the Assignment Ideas Library and add the desired assignments to your class.

Add assignments to your class from the Assignment Ideas Library

Log into your WeVideo account and select Assignment Ideas from the left sidebar.

You can browse through all the assignment ideas or use the filter tools on the top right to find the assignment ideas for the grade levels and subjects of your choice.

Once you find the assignment ideas you want to use, click Preview to view more details about it.

On the preview page, you can watch the sample video, read the directions for the assignment, see the project type and objectives, and examine the ISTE standards for students. Click the Save to class as draft button to save this assignment ideas to a class.

Select a class from the drop-down menu, and click Save to class.

Click the Close button to close the preview page and browse for more assignment ideas.

Edit and publish the assignment idea to the class

Switch to the Classes tab on the left sidebar, and click on the class you saved the assignment idea to.

Click Edit assignment.

You can edit the name, description, project type, participation, and due date for the assignment. You can also click the Add media and starting blocks button to create starting blocks for this assignment.

On the starting blocks set up page, you can add the media to the assignment by selecting them from the project bin on the left. You can also add the media to the timeline. Learners will see these media and tracks when launching the assignment, and they can edit, add, or remove media from the starting blocks. After creating the starting blocks, click Close on the top right to save and close this page.

After completing the edit, click Update to save the change, or click Publish to publish the assignment to the class.

You can also click on the triple dots icon on the top right of the assignment to publish, preview, reuse, or delete the assignment. Please see this article for more information about reusing assignments in other classes.
