Instructors under the Educational Organization license with the Canvas Studio integration can connect their Canvas Studio account to their WeVideo account to import videos from Canvas Studio into WeVideo when building interactive videos.
Before you start
- Launch Canvas Studio from Canvas at least once to ensure the account is activated.
- Have WeVideo Interactivity LTI integration installed in your Canvas environment.
Connect a Canvas Studio account to a WeVideo account
Log in to Canvas, navigate to a class, and add a new assignment to it.
Switch the assignment type to External Tool, and click Find to locate the WeVideo integration from the list.
Click Set Link to launch into WeVideo.
Click the Create New Interactive Video button to open the interactive video editor.
Select the Canvas Studio option as the video host.
Click the Connect to Canvas Studio button.
Enter the Canvas Studio account name and password, or use the Sign in with Canvas option to log in to Canvas Studio.
Verify the account is correct, and click Authorize.
The Canvas Studio account is now connected with your WeVideo account, and you can start importing videos from Canvas Studio to WeVideo. Please see this article for more information on creating interactive videos with videos hosted on Canvas Studio.
Plan requirements for connecting Canvas Studio with WeVideo
The Canvas Studio option in WeVideo interactive video editor is available to users under an Educational Organization license with Canvas and Canvas Studio integrations added to their licenses.
