Can I use WeVideo offline?

Short answer: No. 

WeVideo is a cloud-based platform — all editing, recording, and publishing functions require your device to be connected to WeVideo's server via a web browser.

What if I lose my internet connection while editing in WeVideo?

If your device loses connection while accessing the platform, the WeVideo interface will gray out, and a notification indicating that the platform is attempting to reconnect will display at the top of the window.

If you see a connection issue message, please check your device's connectivity and network environment in order to continue using the platform. 

Editing videos with the WeVideo mobile app

The WeVideo mobile app is available for iPhone and Android. While it doesn't include all tools and functionality of the fully-featured web editor, it is a powerful way to quick-start your editing process — all without necessarily needing an internet connection. 

Additionally, the mobile app allows you to start a project on your phone and "push" it to the desktop editor for more advanced editing.
