Instructors can create multimedia assignments in Canvas by finding the relevant course, creating a new assignment, and publishing it to their learners.
Please note that the workflow in this article is for users using the LTI 1.1 Canvas integration. The new LTI 1.3 integration with the assignment ability is currently in the early access plan. Before you start
- This article explains how to create an assignment in Canvas that learners can complete via the WeVideo Multimedia Creation integration. If you’d like to create a multimedia assignment directly in WeVideo, follow these instructions instead.
Create an assignment in Canvas
Log in to Canvas and navigate to the course where the assignment will be linked to.
Create a new assignment in the Canvas course.
Enter the title and details of the assignment.
Change the submission type to Online and select the Website URL option as the online entry option.
Enter the assignment's due date and adjust other settings as needed.
Publish the assignment to learners when ready.
Learners: Find and complete the assignment in Canvas
Once the instructor has created the assignment, learners can navigate to it in Canvas and click the WeVideo Multimedia Creation integration in the sidebar to complete it.
