How do instructors connect Schoology classes with different WeVideo instances?

By default, after the WeVideo integration is installed in Schoology, one WeVideo instance can be connected to the Schoology environment, allowing users to access that instance through the integration. If the district needs to connect multiple WeVideo instances within their Schoology environment, please contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss enabling the option to connect multiple WeVideo instances to a single Schoology deployment.

After enabling the feature to connect multiple WeVideo instances to a single Schoology deployment, admins and instructors will be able to connect WeVideo instances on a course-by-course basis, allowing them to connect different WeVideo instances to different Schoology courses.

Please follow the steps in this article to connect WeVideo instances to Schoology courses after the option is enabled.
 

Important notes:

  • This article only applies to districts that have their environment set up to connect multiple WeVideo instances. For the regular WeVideo Schoology integration workflow, please refer to this article.
  • The workflow described in this article needs to be performed for each course to which WeVideo should be linked by the course instructors. This enables instructors to connect different WeVideo instances to various courses within their Schoology deployment.
  • Instructors must connect their accounts with the Schoology course before learners can access the WeVideo integration. If learners attempt to launch the WeVideo integration from the course before it is connected, they will receive a notification that the course is not yet linked to a WeVideo account by their institution. They then should contact their instructor to complete the process.

Install WeVideo integration in the Schoology environment

Before users can access WeVideo from their Schoology courses, the district or school administrators need to install the WeVideo integration in Schoology. Please follow the steps in the article below to install the integration.

How do I integrate WeVideo Multimedia Creation to Schoology?

After installing the integration tool, admins and teachers can follow the steps in the next section to connect their Schoology courses with their WeVideo accounts.

Connect WeVideo accounts to the Schoology course

Before letting learners access WeVideo through the integration, instructors have to follow the steps in this section to connect their course with WeVideo accounts. Instructors need to complete the connection process for each course they want to use with WeVideo, and they can enter different registration codes from various WeVideo instances, if available, to link those instances to other courses in the Schoology deployment. 

Log in to your WeVideo account, click the user icon on the top right of the window, and select the Account Settings option.

Expand the LTI Settings section and click the Generate LTI Connection Code button.

Copy the generated code.

Open the course in Schoology and select the WeVideo integration from the tool list in the sidebar menu.

Enter the LTI connection code copied from the account and click Submit to connect the WeVideo account with this course.
