Yes, after the projects are exported in WeVideo, you can upload pre-recorded audio descriptions or transcript files to generate audio descriptions for the exports. After audio descriptions are added to the exports, an Audio Description option will appear in the WeVideo video player when users play the video, allowing them to toggle the audio descriptions on and off.

Before you start
Upload audio descriptions to exports in WeVideo
You can upload the audio description to your project during export. Click the Export button in the video editor to export the project.
Click the Upload Audio button to upload pre-recorded audio in MP3 or WAV format as the audio description. Alternatively, you can upload the transcript in VTT or SRT format by clicking the Upload Transcript button, and our text-to-speech generator will generate an audio description from it. After adding the file, click Export to export the project.
Also, you can add audio description to projects that have already been exported. Navigate to the Exports page in Multimedia Creation and click the exported project on the page.

View exports with audio descriptions
When watching exports with audio descriptions, users can click the AD (audio description) button to toggle them on and off.
When enabling audio description, users can select the standard audio description from the audio file, the text-to-speech audio file, or the generated cue audio file. The available options will vary depending on the uploaded file.
Remove audio descriptions from the exports
To remove audio descriptions from exports, navigate to the Exports page in Multimedia Creation and click the exported project.
Click the Audio Description option to expand the sidebar.
Click the Delete Audio or the Delete Transcript button to remove the audio description. Once deleted, the upload button will be available again for users to upload a new audio description file.
Limitations for adding audio descriptions to the exports in Multimedia Creation
The audio descriptions can only be added to video projects. When uploading the audio description, WeVideo supports the following file formats:
- For audio files: MP3 and WAV
- For transcript files: VTT and SRT
If you have files in other formats, please convert them to the supported formats before uploading.
