Learn how teachers & instructors can sync the scores from an in-video graded assignment directly to Canvas in WeVideo's interactive video editor.
The interactive content assigned to Canvas assignments through the WeVideo LTI integration will automatically sync learners’ grades to Canvas when they complete the assignment. If there are manually graded items in the assignment, or if the instructors want to adjust learners' points, they can also manually sync learners' grades after grading their submissions.
Before you start
- Have WeVideo's Interactivity LTI integration installed in Canvas
- Assign interactive content to a Canvas course
- Have learners take the interactive assignment from the Canvas course
How do I sync the scores from an in-video graded assignment directly to Canvas?
Log in to Canvas as an instructor or administrator, navigate to the class where the assignment is, launch the assignment from Canvas, and click the Monitor button on the Manage Link page.
The monitor page for the linked assignment will launch in a new tab.
To assign or adjust points for learners, click their submitted answers and adjust their points.
After assigning and adjusting the points, click the Sync All Grades button at the top to sync the grades for all learners in this class to Canvas.
If you only want to sync grades for some learners, select them by checking the checkbox next to their names, then click the Sync Selected Grades button at the top to sync their grades.
Plan requirements for syncing learners’ grades to Canvas
The instructors' and administrators' accounts must be under an Educational organization license with the Canvas LTI integration enabled for the license to sync learners’ grades to Canvas.
Setups and integration requirements for syncing learners’ grades to Canvas
WeVideo's Interactivity LTI integration must be installed in the Canvas environment, and interactive videos must be assigned directly to Canvas classes through the Interactivity LTI integration to sync grades with Canvas. If an interactive video is assigned to classes in WeVideo and then embedded in Canvas, the grades will not sync with Canvas.
