Learn how students can submit video projects to their teachers in WeVideo, including steps and classroom requirements.
Before you start
- Students need to be enrolled in a class to take an assignment and submit their videos through it.
- Create and assign an assignment to students through a class in WeVideo.
How do students submit videos?
Navigate to the class in WeVideo and click the assignment to launch it.
Read through the assignment details, then click Jump In to start working on the project in the editor.
Add videos, audio, text, and visual effects to the timeline.
After completing the video, click the Turn In button at the top right of the window to submit the video.
Click the Turn In button on the pop-up window to confirm turning in the video.
How do students view the submitted videos?
Navigate to the class in WeVideo, switch to the Turned In tab, and click the assignment to launch it.
Click the View Submission button to launch the video player to view the submission.
How do students unsubmit videos?
Navigate to the class in WeVideo, switch to the Turned In tab, and click the assignment to launch it. Click the View Submission button to launch the video player to view the submission.
Click the Unsubmit button.
Click the Yes, unsubmit button on the pop-up window to confirm unsubmitting the video.
Who can submit videos to instructors?
If the assignment is an individual project, all students can submit their videos once they are ready. If the assignment is a team project, all team members can submit the videos when they are ready. After any team member turns in the video, it will also be submitted for all other team members, and they will no longer be able to edit or submit it.
Plans requirement for students to submit videos to instructors
Users with an Education (Instructor and Organization) license have the ability to assign projects to students through WeVideo classes and allow students to submit their videos through it.
