Video hosts
Panopto
To set up the Panopto integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com).
- The URL you use to access Panopto (it is usually something like https://#####.hosted.panopto.com)
- Credentials to a Creator account in your domain so that WeVideo can test the integration after enabling the integration.
- Whether the user identifiers in Panopto match the email faculty use to access WeVideo Interactivity (usually the same as the email they use for the LMS). If not, please provide a few representative user identifiers for discoverability.
Once we receive the requested information, WeVideo will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the Panopto integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
Kaltura
To set up the Kaltura integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com).
- Partner ID
- Token ID
- App token value (using SHA1 encryption for the token hash)
- Should faculty have access to all the content in Kaltura regardless of ownership, or should they only be able to access their own content?
- Whether the user identifiers in Kaltura match the email faculty use to access WeVideo Interactivity (usually the same as the email they use for the LMS). If not, please provide a few representative user identifiers for discoverability.
Once we receive the requested information, WeVideo will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the Kaltura integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
Mediasite
| Note: View counts will be added to the original Mediasite videos when users launch the interactive videos in Interactivity or from the LMS, including learners taking the interactive video and instructors previewing it. |
To set up the Mediasite integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com).
- Mediasite API key
- Mediasite endpoint URL
- Credentials (user name and password) for an admin account with Read and View permissions to all resources, including media, category, metadata, etc.
- Whether the user identifiers in Mediasite match the email faculty use to access WeVideo Interactivity(usually the same as the email they use for the LMS). If not, please provide a few representative user identifiers for discoverability.
- How we should configure your institution’s Mediasite integration:
- Users can see all folders and all videos, regardless of ownership
- Users can see all folders that they own, and all videos within those owned folders
- Users can see all folders that they own or have shared access to, and all videos within those owned or shared folders
- Users can see only the videos that they specifically have uploaded (MyMediasite)
Once we receive the requested information, WeVideo will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the Mediasite integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
YuJa
To set up the YuJa integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com).
- Organization subdomain
- Authentication token (see instructions here)
- Credentials (user name and password) to a test account inside the institution's YuJa license (not required, but recommended).
- Whether the user identifiers in YuJa match the email faculty use to access WeVideo Interactivity(usually the same as the email they use for the LMS). If not, please provide a few representative user identifiers for discoverability.
Once we receive the requested information, WeVideo will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the YuJa integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
Canvas Studio
To set up the Canvas Studio integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com).
- A Canvas Studio API key sets to specific scopes and redirect URLs. Please follow the instructions below to create one.
- Navigate to the Studio Settings in Canvas Studio, and go to the Developer Keys section to add a new developer key. (Please see this Canvas article for more information about accessing developer keys.)
- Create a new developer key with the following information:
- Name: WeVideo Interactivity Canvas Studio integration (or any other name you would like to use).

Redirect URL:
- https://www.wevideo.com/api/5/oauth/canvas_studio/callback
- For EU users, please use the following URL: https://eu.wevideo.com/api/5/oauth/canvas_studio/callback
- After creating the new developer key, share the Client ID and Client Secret with the WeVideo support team.
- The domain of the Canvas Studio instance. (Usually in the format of https://xxxxxxxxxxx.instructuremedia.com)
- (Optional) Credentials to a test account in your institution’s Canvas instance for testing purposes.
Once we receive the requested information, WeVideo will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the Canvas Studio integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
Wistia
To set up the Wistia integration, please provide the following information to WeVideo (support@wevideo.com). Please see the Wistia support document for instructions on accessing the API token.
- Wistia API key/token with the permission set to "Read all folders and media data."
Once we receive the requested information, PlayPosit will initiate the installation process from our end. We will notify you when the installation is complete, and you can proceed to the test steps to test out the Wistia integration. If you are unable to select the host or encounter any difficulties with the video host, please contact support at support@wevideo.com.
Zoom
The Zoom integration is enabled at the account level rather than the license level. Each instructor who wishes to use Zoom as their video host can follow the instructions in this section to connect their Zoom and WeVideo accounts.
Log in to WeVideo, switch to the Multimedia Creation space, and select the Account Settings option from the user icon at the top right of the window.
Expand the Connected Apps section, then click the Connect button next to Zoom.
Log in to a Zoom account and agree to the terms of use to connect the Zoom and WeVideo accounts.
Test video hosts
Log in to WeVideo Interactivity and select Create New Interactive Video.
Select the installed video host option.
Verify that the user ID is correct and that you can see media from the linked account.
Add one video and play the Interactive video to confirm the playback works as expected.
