Install the integration tool in D2L
Log in to D2L as an administrator, click the Gear icon on the top right of the screen, and select Manage Extensibility.
Select LTI Advantage and click Register Tool.
Select Standard.
Complete the form with the following information:
- Name: Enter the name you want to use for the tool.
- Description: Interactive video
- Domain: https://www.wevideo.com
- Redirect URLs: https://www.wevideo.com/api/5/lti/interactivity/login
- OpenID Connect Login URL: https://www.wevideo.com/api/5/lti/interactivity/auth
- Target Link URI: https://www.wevideo.com/app
- Keyset URL: https://www.wevideo.com/.well-known/jwks
Select the following options under the Extensions section:
- Assignment and grades services
- Deep Linking
- Names and Role Provisioning Services
Click Register
Select the newly created tool, scroll to the bottom, and click View Deployment.
Click New Deployment.
Select the tools you created in the previous step from the Tools dropdown and give a name to this deployment.
Ensure the following Extensions are selected:
- Assignment and grades services
- Deep Linking
- Names and Role Provisioning Services
Select all settings under the Security Settings except for Anonymous.
Adjust the Configuration Settings as needed.
Scroll to the bottom and click Add Org Unit. Select the organizations to which the tool should be deployed and click Add.
Click Create Deployment.
Select the newly created deployment, scroll to the bottom, and select View Links.
Click New Link.
Enter the following information into the field:
- Title: Users will see the name given here as the tool name when selecting it from the list.
- URL: https://www.wevideo.com/api/5/lti/interactivity/login
- Description: Enter the information for the tool if needed.
- Type: Select Deep Linking Quicklink. If you want to use Interactivity with Insert Stuff, please repeat the steps and create a separate link.
Click Save and Close. The tool has now been added to the course.
Register the tool
Important note: These steps only need to be performed when launching the tool for the first time. After the tool is registered, instructors can access Interactivity directly through the integration without registering. |
Log in to your Interactivity account, click your user icon on the top right of the window, and select User Settings.
Scroll down to the LTI 1.3 Settings section and click Generate Code.
Copy the generated code.
Go back to D2L and follow the steps in this article to launch Interactivity from the course where the integration was installed.
The Register page will pop up. Click OK.
Paste the generated code from the Interactivity account into the Registration Token field and click Submit. The tool is now successfully registered! Refresh the page and start linking content to D2L.
