To create a data archive, go to your account settings on the Multimedia Creation page and navigate to the Manage personal data section. Here, select Create archive, then click Continue to download the data archive. After you complete these steps, you'll receive an email when the report is ready to download.

Who can create a data archive?
Individual and business accounts
All users under these account types are able to create a data archive.
WeVideo for Schools users
Users with admin or teacher accounts can create data archives. Users with the Student role in a WeVideo for Schools plan cannot download a data archive and need to contact an Admin in their organization to receive it.
How to create a data archive
To create a data archive:
Select Account settings in the Home tab.
Expand the Manage personal data section.
Select Create archive to continue.
(Optional) Select or check the Also include copies of any videos created by me option to include exports in your data archive.
Select Continue to confirm that you want to download the data archive. After you complete these steps, you'll receive an email when the report is ready to download. Your data archive will display its download progress until it is finished.
What is included in the data archive
This report contains a summary of the telemetric data collected from your usage and the analytical services in which your data was processed.
Data retention and inactive accounts
If a free or expired account is inactive for 90 days, its content will be automatically deleted. This includes in-progress, completed, and uploaded videos and media. Once content is deleted due to the inactivity policy, we cannot restore it or create a data archive.
Limitations and requirements
Keep in mind:
- This process may take up to a couple of days. To download an export to your computer, you can always do so directly from the Exports tab.
- If you use the mobile WeVideo app, you'll need to access your account on a desktop browser to download a data archive.
- Users with the Student role in a WeVideo for Schools plan cannot download a data archive and need to contact an Admin in their organization to receive it.
