PlayPosit is integrating its interactive video features into WeVideo, our powerful video creation platform. This means that your free PlayPosit account is being migrated to WeVideo. This document provides essential information about the migration process, your WeVideo free trial, and your options after the trial.
What's Changing?
- New Platform: Your PlayPosit account will be migrated to WeVideo. You'll access your interactive videos (bulbs) and create new ones within the WeVideo platform.
- Free Trial: You'll receive a free trial of WeVideo Interactivity (which includes the integrated PlayPosit features) until September 30, 2025.
- Login: After migration, you (and your students) will log in at www.wevideo.com using your existing PlayPosit credentials.
- New Assignment Links: After your account is migrated, you will need to update any existing assignment links you've shared with students. The old PlayPosit links will no longer work. You'll find the new links within WeVideo. Please see this article for instructions on acquiring new links in WeVideo.
- PlayPosit.com Access: You will still be able to log in to playposit.com, but only to access and export your existing student data. You will not be able to create new content or assignments there.
- No Free Option: As part of this change, we will no longer be supporting a free version of PlayPosit.
What's Staying the Same?
- Your Bulbs: All your existing interactive videos (bulbs) will be migrated to your WeVideo account.
- Your Login Credentials: Your username and password will remain the same.
- Student Accounts: Student accounts linked to your PlayPosit account will also be migrated to WeVideo, and their login credentials will remain unchanged.
Important: Student Data
- No Automatic Migration: Student data (responses, scores, analytics) will not be automatically migrated to WeVideo.
- Export Your Data: We recommend that you export any student data you need from playposit.com.
Your Options After the Free Trial (September 30, 2025):
- Upgrade to a Paid WeVideo Plan: This is the only way to continue using interactive video features after the trial. We're offering a special discount for upgrading before June 1, 2025. See details here.
- Consider a WeVideo Site License: If you're part of a school or organization, a site license may be the most cost-effective option, offering additional features like LMS integration. Contact your administrator or our sales team.
- Transition to a Free WeVideo Account: This option allows you to use WeVideo for basic video editing, but does not include interactive video features.
Additional Resources:
