Instructors can assign interactive content to their learners through the Canvas integration, and learners can complete the assignment directly in Canvas with their grades synced to the gradebook. Please see more information about assigning interactive content through Canvas in this article.
Assign content to learners through Canvas
Bulbs and playlists need to be assigned to learners through Canvas assignments. Click +Assignment to create a new assignment in Canvas.
Change the submission type to External Tool, click Find, and select PlayPosit from the list.
Click Set Link to launch into PlayPosit.
Click the Canvas icon next to the Bulb and select Link to assign the Bulb to Canvas. If you do not have Bulbs in your account yet, please follow the steps in this article to create your Bulbs first.
If you want to assign playlists to Canvas, click the Playlists tab on the sidebar to switch to the playlists page, and click the Canvas icon next to the playlist you want to assign.
Select the learner experience to be an asynchronous self-paced or synchronous live broadcast, and click Set Link to link the content to the course.
Click Select to complete the process.
Adjust the assignment's title, content, and due date in Canvas.
Click Save or Save & Publish to save the assignment.
The Bulb or playlist is now linked to the Canvas assignment and ready for learners.
Monitor learners’ progress
Navigate to the Canvas assignment to which the Bulb or playlist is linked, and click Monitor on the manage link page.
On the monitor page, you can find learners’ names, scores, statuses, and responses to each question in this assignment. Please see this article for more information about the monitor page.
Sync grades to Canvas gradebook
If the Bulb or playlists only contain auto-graded interactions (multiple choice, check-all-that-apply, fill-in-the-blank), learners' grades will be synced to the Canvas gradebook automatically once they complete the assignment.
If there are manually graded free response interactions in the Bulbs or you have edited learners’ points on the monitor page, please follow the steps below to sync the most updated grades to Canvas manually.
Launch the monitor page for the assignment and assign points to learners if needed.
Click the Sync Grades button on the top left of the window to send the updated grades to Canvas.
