Create classes in PlayPosit
The content in PlayPosit needs to be assigned to a class for students to access it. If you do not have a class in PlayPosit or want to create a new class for your students, please follow the steps below to create a class in PlayPosit.
Select Classes from the left sidebar to navigate to the Classes page.
Click Add New Class.
Enter the name of the new class and click Save.
The new class is created, and you can now assign content or add students to this class. Please see this article for more information about editing classes in PlayPosit.
Assign content to PlayPosit classes
Click My Bulbs from the left sidebar to navigate to the My Bulbs page.
Click the thumbnail image of the desired Bulb and select Assign from the action menu. If you want to assign multiple Bulbs at once, use the check box to select them and click Assign at the top.
If you want to assign playlists to learners, click Playlists from the left sidebar to navigate to the playlists page, click the playlist icon of the desired playlist, and select Assign from the action menu. If you want to assign multiple playlists at once, use the check box to select them and click Assign at the top.
Select the assign preferences from one of the options:
- Assign to students: Users with PlayPosit student accounts can access the Bulb. This is the default option.
- Assign to professional learning: Users with PlayPosit teacher accounts can access the Bulb.
- Assign to people outside the organization: Users do not need to log into PlayPosit accounts to access the Bulb, but they have to enter their first and last name before taking the Bulb.
- Assign to anonymous participants: Users can take the Bulb without entering their information, and their data will be stored as anonymous users.
Enter the start and end date for the assignment. The Bulb will not be available until the start date and will be locked after the end date.
Select the classes from the list. You can also create new classes here by clicking the New Class button.
Click Assign on the top.
Copy the link and share it with your students to take the Bulbs.
