What are markers and how do I use them?

In WeVideo, markers are reference points that you can place on the Timeline to locate, identify, and annotate specific positions. To add markers to your timeline, move the blue playhead to the desired spot on your timeline and select the Comment feature.

Markers are reference points that you can place on the Timeline to locate, identify, and annotate specific positions. They are useful for adding descriptive notes at specific points within your project.

How do I use markers?

Select a clip from the timeline in the video editor

Move the blue playhead to the desired spot on your timeline and select the Comment feature.

 

Enter the text for the marker

Type your note or comments in the box, then click Add when you are done.

To view your marker, click the dot that is placed on the top of your timeline at the point that you added it.

Can I edit the marker after I add it?

The edit or delete comment options for the marker.

If you need to edit or remove your marker after adding it, click the triple-dot button next to it and select Edit comment or Delete comment.

How do I move the marker after adding it?

To move the marker to a new spot after adding it, simply drag the dot along the timeline to the desired position.

How to link markers to clips in your project

The link thread to clip option for the marker

To attach your marker to a specific clip in your project, click the triple-dot button at the top right of the markers box and click Link thread to clip.

 

Select the clip to which the marker needs to be attached.

Next, select the clip you would like to link the comment thread to. A notification will appear at the bottom of the screen when the comment is linked to the clip.
