Before you start
- If you do not have the WeVideo iOS app, start by going to the iOS App Store and downloading it. Then sign in with your WeVideo username and password.
- If this is your first time using the app, grant your preferred level of access to your iPhone’s media library.
- The WeVideo iPhone app requires your device to be running iOS 15.0 or later.
Create a new video
In the WeVideo iOS app, you can create a new video with existing media or by taking new footage on your iPhone.
Create a video from existing media or stock footage

2.Choose the media source you’d like to use for your video:

3. After selecting your media file(s), tap Create to open the video editor.
Note: You may select one or more video files or photo files; if you select photo files, they will be added to your video in the manner of a slideshow with a set duration per photo, which can be changed under Account > Preferences > Default photo duration.
Create a video with new iPhone footage
1. To create a video using new footage, tap Capture media.
2. Swipe to select Video and tap the red circle button to record. (You can take a photo instead under the Photo tab.)
3. Stop the recording and tap Save (or Retake if you prefer).
4. Once your video is exported, tap Open in editor to edit it immediately, Upload media to save it to your WeVideo account, or Share to open your iPhone’s native sharing options.
Edit your video
Now that your video has been created, you can use the WeVideo app to edit your video on your iPhone by adding text, music, voiceover, and more.
